COVID-19 Office Updates

We are happy to offer our full services at all locations!

In order to follow proper physical distancing protocols, we ask that you please call ahead to book an appointment for all types of visits to our clinics, instead of dropping in. This includes all eye exams and optical services such as pick ups, adjustments and choosing glasses. Our doctors and staff have organized a very thorough plan so we can maintain proper physical distancing, while still providing you with all your eye care needs in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Our offices in Blairmore, Martensville, Biggar, Rosthern and Outlook are all open for regular bookings!

As per the latest Government of Saskatchewan mandates masks are required for all visits to our locations. If you have your own mask, we ask that you come in wearing it. We also have a supply of masks available at all locations if you need one. In addition, please come on your own or with limited family members to allow for proper physical distancing.

Optomap has come to Doctors Vision Care Martensville.

Optomap is a state of the art retinal camera, which allows our doctors to get an even better look at the back of the eye. Many retinal cameras are only able to take a photo of the central 30 degrees, while the technology of the Optomap now allows us to take photos of 200 degrees. Doctors Vision Care prides itself in keeping up with all the latest technology to create a more thorough and comprehensive eye exam. Come to our Martensville location to check out this amazing and innovative technology today!

New Technology at DVC! Welcome the Zeiss Cirrus Photo!

One System for fundus photo imaging and OCT!

Broader clinical insights, greater diagnostic certainty and added practice value – the CIRRUS™ photo from ZEISS delivers all that in a single, integrated system for both fundus imaging and OCT. CIRRUS photo combines a full mydriatic/non-mydriatic fundus camera with proven CIRRUS HD-OCT technology in one compact and highly versatile system.. Correlate data from high-density OCT cubes, thickness and layer maps with results from superb color fundus images as well as fundus autofluorescence images for better determination of AMD progression. All in one convenient sitting.

Doctors Vision Care is very happy to bring this technology to its patients for continued high quality and comprehensive eye exams.

Glaucoma Management and Treatment and Oral Prescribing Rights

This year Saskatchewan Optometrists have gained the authority to treat and manage glaucoma and prescribe oral medications. We offer comprehensive eye examinations which include all the testing necessary for managing and treating glaucoma, including visual fields and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) at all of our locations.

Medical advancements have improved glaucoma treatment options providing better outcomes with fewer side effects. Glaucoma can be treated with eye drops, medication, surgery or a combination of methods. A plan for treatment and management includes careful and frequent follow-up (usually every three to six months) to ensure treatment is effective. The sooner glaucoma can be diagnosed the better the outcome.

Advanced Imaging In All Three Locations!

We offer Advanced Imaging, OCT and Retinal Photography in all three Doctors Vision Care locations!

Ocular Coherence Tomography is the technology that allows the use of cross sectional images to measure the thickness of structures at the front and back of the eye, allowing us to enhance the quality of care that we provide every day.

Diabetic Eye Exams Now Covered

Diabetic Eye Exams now covered under Saskatchewan Health for Optometrists in Saskatchewan!

As of 01 Oct 2014, Saskatchewan Health will be paying the full cost of an annual optometric eye exam for all medicated diabetics in Saskatchewan.
